Welcome to Currumbin State School.

Currumbin Primary School has earned a reputation for delivering high quality and comprehensive academic, social, cultural, sporting and leadership programs of excellence.

The supportive environment and intense community spirit are validated by high behaviour standards, explicit improvement agendas, genuine community partnerships and the establishment of strong foundations for lifelong learning.

Our school vision is Oceans of Opportunity.  This compliments the Department of Education, Training and Employment’s vision of Inspiring Minds, Creating Opportunities and Shaping Queensland’s Future.   These visions assure that every student is successfully engaged to their full potential in the myriad of opportunities our school provides.

To facilitate this, our school is organised into 3 sectors, each overseen by a Deputy Principal.

·         Prep - 1                        Mary Hughes

·         Years 2 - 4                    Julia Hoy & Mark Wingett

·         Years 5 - 6                    Andrew Williams

In 2016, Currumbin Primary School has prioritised Reading, Spelling and Behaviour as the key focus for our explicit improvement agenda. Our Kids Matter Program ensures the preservation and development of the social and emotional well-being of our students, staff and school community. Our active P&C Association, led by President Kaylee Campradt, forges strong partnerships with staff and community to achieve quality outcomes.

Our School Values are:

·         Be Respectful

·         Be Responsible

·         Be Safe

The child is the heart of Currumbin Primary School.
